Galatia Films partners with Clemson University’s Agriculture and Food Sciences Department for a fresh look at the farm to table approach. Specifically outlined and designed for television, the show was distributed to PBS for many seasons. The efforts of the producers at the university, Galatia Films and PBS endeavored to engage young adults in learning more about where their food comes from, with the added goal of encouraging healthy eating habits.
The show featured local students visiting vegetable farms to learn how local fruits and veggies are picked, packaged and shipped to grocery stores and neighborhood markets. This production went above and beyond the average commercial shoot and with both obesity and diabetes currently at record national levels, nothing could have felt more rewarding.
